Keep Planting Those Seeds
by Beth Denhart

Importance of Each Student

We have passed the halfway point in the school year. Christian school administrators begin to look toward next year. Open-house events are on the calendar. Staffing needs are discussed, and we begin to get a “feel” for those students who may not return next year. For administrators and teachers, this can be an anxious time. Retainage of students is so crucial for next year’s planning. We never want to hear that a student may not return. However, when that happens, we gracefully explain to the family that we understand, pray for them, and accept it. During this process, it is good to remind ourselves that the seeds that were planted in that student and family will go with them. We pray that our influence on that student and family continues to affect their lives.
